Have you read Jerry Lee Lewis: His Own Story by Rick Bragg? It covers the early days and a lot of stories I hadn't heard.
I have a copy of it, but have yet to dive more than halfway. Just lack of time on my end. However, I am a culprit of buying books and hoarding them.
It's worth your time. Rick Bragg is a helluva writer. You have to take Lewis' stories with a grain of salt, but talking about sneaking into a black honky tonk and hiding under the table to listen to the music rings true.
